Who are Discovery and Learning?
Education has been at the heart of RZSS for over four decades and sits within the Discovery and Learning team. We have engaged with over one million learners across both Edinburgh Zoo and the Highland Wildlife Park.
From nursery to tertiary and beyond encompassing both formal and informal learning, the team create and deliver unique experiences for learners and daily visitors, encouraging excitement and exploration though interactive learning programmes and interpretation.

What is ZOOdle?
ZOOdle is our 'Zoo Digital Learning Environment' - home to our online learning. From nursery to tertiary formal eduction, informal family and adult learning and fun games and events, there's something for everyone to learn more about conservation.
You can get started by browsing our categories:
FamiliesGames and actitivies for learning together at home.
TeachersResources to compliment our onsite workshops and outreach programmes.
AdultsResources for college and university students, short courses for adult learners and a special section for our wonderful RZSS volunteers.

What technology do I need?
The only thing you really need to use ZOOdle is a device with an internet connection, it doesn't matter whether it's a computer, laptop, tablet or phone.
Some activities might need you to have speakers so you can listen to videos, a printer so you can make your own crafts at home or there are even a few that can be used on a Virtual Reality headset to view scenes in VR - but these aren't required and there are always alternatives so you won't miss out on anything.
Is there an age limit for the site?
Everyone's welcome to use ZOOdle! We have resources for nursery all the way up to adult learning, and if you're browsing without logging in we don't collect any personal data about you.
We do however ask only those over 16 years old create accounts on ZOOdle. There are some pages which you will only be able to access if you have an account, and if someone under 16 needs access to these, please have a parent or guardian create an account with us.
