- Introduce your own chicks to capercaillie with this fun, dance-filled activity!
- Can you dance like a capercaillie?
  
  Capercaillie must put on an exciting routine to impress other birds and make sure they take good care of themselves and their chicks.
  
  Find your territory or nest and roll the dice to make up a routine to show off your best caper!
  
  Here are some ideas to get started:
  1. Patrol your area - be big and tall to impress the other birds
  2. Preen your feathers - can you reach from your head to your toes?
  3. Ruffle in a dust bath - shake those wings and tail feathers!
  4. Balance on a branch - can you stand on one leg?
  5. Call like a caper - use percussion instruments to mimic male lekking sounds!
  6. Incubate your eggs - how still can you sit?
