  • 10:30 am - Flamingos

    A flock of flamingos

    Discover how flamingos may look delicate, but they're one of the most hardiest birds on our planet.

    Did you know – Flamingos are pink because of red pigments found in the algae and shrimps they eat?

    Watch out for…  Our two grey flamingo chicks who hatched in September 2025

  • 11:30 AM - RED PANDA

    Did you know – red pandas use their tail as a scarf when resting to keep warm?

    Watch out for… our red pandas climbing vertically up and down trees using their specialised wrists!

    • 12:45 PM - Capuchin and Squirrel Monkey

      Discover how our cheeky monkeys are helping us to lead the way in primate research through puzzles and play.

      Did you know – capuchins rub themselves in onion to act as a natural insect repellent?

      Watch out for… our capuchins playing and grooming each other to socialise.

        Did you know – Pygmy hippos can hold their breath for up to 5 minutes?

        Watch out for… Our wonderful hippos spraying poo all over the enclosure.

          Watch out for… Our rhino enjoying a dip in the pool

          • 2:30 pm - CAPYBARAS

            Discover the largest rodents in the world!

            Did you know – capybaras are much faster than their round shape lets on, with a top speed of 22mph!

            Watch out for… their special webbed feet, perfectly adapted for navigating the marshy wetlands of their native habitat.

              Did you know – Cheetahs are a truly unique species.

              Watch out for… Our spotty cheetahs snoozing in the hut at the bottom of the enclosure

                Meet at Wildcats

                Come spot some of our most elusive species and discover what work we are doing to protect these Highland Tigers (our very own Scottish Wildcat), and Ghost Cats (Pallas' Cat) out in the wild.

                Did you know –  Pallas cats look grumpy because their ears are flat so their prey doesn't spot them?

                Watch out for… Our wildcats sitting up high at the tops of the trees.
