Why do we play?
Humans show curiosity about the world when we play. It is important for our minds and bodies throughout our lives.
- Physical play helps us develop muscles and faster reaction times;
- Object play helps us learn about what objects do and how we use them. It develops our fine motor skills. We learn how far away objects are, how heavy they are and we discover different textures;
- Social play helps us learn how we and other people react;
- friendship and building positive relationships;
- sharing and being fair;
- caring and how to keep include people who look lonely;
