Sugar Painting

"Sugar Painting 糖画 tánghuà is a Chinese art. Melted sugar is painted on a marble surface. First you spin to see what animal will be painted for you by the artist. The largest and best is the pheonix and that's what I got! It was delicious." Sandie Robb, RZSS Language Project Coordinator.

Thanks to the School of Foreign Languages, Southwest Jiaotong University, our Confucius Classroom partners for inviting me to Chengdu.
