Evaluation is built into the foundations of this year's online BIAZA educators conference so we can make sure we are providing the best experience for our community.

Short Term

Outcome: Attendees will have an increased knowledge of best practice in conservation education.
Indicators of success:

• Confidence in conservation education
• Knowledge of different educational tools
• Knowledge of different educational techniques
• Willingness to try new things

Evaluation Methods:

• Pre and Post conference attendee questionnaire
• Zoom polls during the conference
• Zoom stats

Outcome: Participants will be more engaged than at a typical online conference.
Indicators of success:

• Number of interactions with the conference website
• Willingness to get involved in activities
• Mood throughout the conference
• Number of interactions between speakers and attendees

• Regular "choose the animal you feel like" activities

Medium Term

Outcome: BIAZA educators will feel more connected to their community.
Indicators of success:

• Number of work-based interactions between educators from different institutions (sharing information, joint projects etc)
• Number of social interactions between educators from different institutions
