Terms and Conditions
These items are loaned in good faith, and to support our communities to engage with nature, therefore we ask that the following conditions are met:
- Camera traps and equipment loaned must be safely and securely stored when not in use.
- Due to GDPR Camera traps must be wiped of all footage prior to returning, please see instructions on how to complete this process.
- Camera traps must be secured using cables and locks provided or a suitable alternative to prevent tampering or theft.
- Batteries must be removed when not in use.
- Items cannot be loaned to a third party without explicit approval from RZSS.
- Any alternation or change to items will be considered damage.
- RZSS agrees to inspect loan items prior to release, and catalogue any existing damage.
- Those signing this loan agreement accept responsibility for the loss and damage to any items
- RZSS may seek a financial contribution towards replacement for the loss or damage of loaned items.
- RZSS agrees to provide adequate storage for items during transport.
- RZSS reserves the right to recall loaned items at any time, with at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Camera traps must be collected in person by an authorised adult, and returned in the same manner to Highland Wildlife Park or Edinburgh Zoo.
- Camera traps, SD cards and accompanying equipment must only be utilised for the intended purpose of wildlife photography.
- Camera traps must be used in line with the provided instructions.
- Images captured should be viewed on the device, SD cards should not be removed or read on an SD card reader.
- RZSS cannot accept liability for any damage to equipment as a result of incorrect use, the connection of these devices to any other is not in keeping with the correct use of this equipment.
- Camera traps must not be placed above waist height due, therefore avoiding pictures of identifiable individuals.
- Responsible adults must supervise the use of camera traps and affiliated equipment by those under 16.
